ARMED MedEd

Applications to the 2023-2024 ARMED MedEd Class: Closed

SAEM is proud to offer the Advanced Research Methodology Evaluation and Design in Medical Education (ARMED MedEd) course. This course builds upon the fundamental knowledge and skills of health professions education researchers and equips them to design a high-quality medical education research project and grant proposal.

We recommend this course for people who have an interest and basic level of understanding or experience in medical education research. If you have already completed an introductory course in health professions education research, such as the MERC at CORD program, ALiEM Faculty Incubator Program, or are enrolled in a fellowship or graduate degree program, you are also eligible for the course. However, it is not a prerequisite. ARMED MedEd applications are due November 30, 2022.

Accepted applicants are required to attend a series of virtual lectures and to participate in a longitudinal program with peers and national experts. The course will culminate with a dedicated scientific session at SAEM23. The SAEM Foundation has also developed a $25,000 funding opportunity specifically for ARMED MedEd alumni to apply at the completion of the course. Even if you're unsure of your budget and travel restrictions, you can still apply now. Payment will not be due until you are accepted into the program.

Course Fee: $950

The course fee includes tuition and meals for in-person workshops. Travel costs and accommodations are the responsibility of the participants.
